Product: Monument Refurbished
Location: Cincinnati, OH
The owners of Village moved into a location that had a monument sign that was very old and worn out. They wanted a new modern look to the sign but did not want to completely remove and replace the sign due to high cost of both the removal and the fabrication of a new sign.
Cincinnati Custom Signs examined the sign and came up with a plan to refurbish the current sign. This plan would not only result in a fabulous looking sign that was sleek and modern but would also save the customer a significant amount of money.
The current sign was made with routed aluminum with both push through letters and flat polycarbonate for other letters. It was lit with fluorescent lighting.
Our refurbished sign would use the existing structure but replace the faces with newly routed aluminum backed with white polycarbonate and replace the fluorescent lighting with a LED retrofit. The routed aluminum faces were professionally painted with Matthews acrylic polyurethane paint that will provide a long-lasting, UV resistant finish. The sides and center column were also painted with the same Matthews paint but applied with a roller on site.
We used Principal’s LED lighting and power supplies for our LED retrofit.
The results were amazing!
The old worn out sign receive a second life. It’s a beautiful, sleek and modern looking sign that will last a long time and our customer loved it.
